We are still working on being Champs in Mrs. Walker’s classroom, walking quietly in the hall, listening when our teachers talk, and taking turns.  The last couple of days we’ve been to PE. Parents, this is just a reminder that  on Tuesdays and Wednesday, tennis shoes are best  in the gym to run and play. 

 We’ve also practiced using the interactive white board in our room. This is such a cool way to navigate the internet and explore our favorite website,  Starfall.com. 

Ask your child about the ipad too! We turned it on today and watched/listened to the book Toy Story.  Hopefully, very soon, we’ll put the ipad in a station to use independently.  

We painted a picture of ourselves using good old fashion paint and paper, we’ve really got some artists in here!!

 Looking forward to many more fun days ahead!!

Wow!! What a great first day we’ve had. We read Gingerbread Man stories and sang a song that goes with the book. We  practiced all of our procedures in the hallway, classroom, and cafertia.  Today, we got to go to computer lab for the first time, I know they will look forward to that every Monday!  Keep working  and acting like a “Champion” of White Oak Primary. Looking forwad to a great year.

There will be a town meeting Sunday, April 10, in the elementary cafeteria from 3-4 pm.

Here’s an update of the words the kiddos should know so far. Please hold them responsible for knowing these words when they read with you at night, and it’s great practice to write them as well. if you would like a set of flash cards, write a note in your child’s planner and i can send home a sheet of all the words we will learn this year.

School pictures will be taken on Thursday October 14th. Feel free to bring a change of clothes for your child if they are dressing extra nice this day.  🙂

Parent conferences will be held on Tuesday October 26th. This is also an early release day for our K-2 students at 11:00. Our lunch will be bumped up to 10:10 as well.  I will be sending home a sign up sheet this week to reserve your choice of time you would like to meet on this day.

The window for orders closes on October 4. Please order if you can, this will help us buy new books and supplies for our classroom. If you need our code again, write me a quick note in your child’s planner and I will get that to you.
